History
The National American School (NAS) was first launched in the academic year 2000-2001 by visionary people who clearly saw the benefit of a new secular school in Zahle that accommodates students searching for a unique and non-traditional education.
The school's structure originally housed an old monastery, later renovated to accommodate the school's campus. Under the forward-thinking leadership of its chairman, The NAS has continuously evolved over the years. The campus has acquired additional features, including a seismic-proof structure, a child and handicap-friendly environment, fire safety features and a plan to accomplish a green campus in the upcoming years (already under implementation). In order to achieve the plans, the campus undergoes ongoing renovation and updates each summer.
The National American School was inaugurated during the academic year 2000-2001 under the leadership of a group of forward-thinking Lebanese individuals.
