Beliefs and Mission

Beliefs

National American School is an independent, non-religious, sectarian school that enrolls students from all areas with different nationalities, cultural backgrounds, and socioeconomic classes in the Beqaa region. In our multicultural environment, we foster a rich tapestry of learning that cultivates students' knowledge and empowers them to interact and communicate effectively, fostering mutual understanding across diverse backgrounds and cultures. Through this inclusive approach, we aim to develop students' interpersonal skills, preparing them to navigate the complexities of our interconnected world with respect, empathy, and a global perspective.

School Identity

At National American School (NAS), our mission is to foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment that empowers students with the knowledge, skills, and values needed to thrive in a rapidly evolving and challenging world. Grounded in a commitment to resilience, integrity, and lifelong learning, we:

1. Develop Resilient Individuals: Equip students with the emotional strength and adaptive skills to face adversity and emerge stronger, fostering perseverance and determination. In a context like Lebanon, where hardships such as economic instability and political unrest are frequent, resilience becomes a cornerstone of personal growth and community contribution.

2. Instill Ethical Values: Cultivate a deep sense of fairness, honesty, and respect, ensuring students lead with integrity and uphold human dignity in their actions.

3. Nurture Lifelong Learners: Inspire curiosity, critical thinking, and a passion for continuous self-improvement.

4. Foster National Loyalty and Cultural Appreciation: Encourage individuals to develop a deep sense of patriotism by valuing their country’s heritage, culture, and traditions. Instill a commitment to contributing positively to their nation’s growth and well-being through civic responsibility, respect for national identity, and active engagement in societal development. Foster Global Citizenship: Encourage students to embrace diversity, practice tolerance, and actively contribute to a compassionate, interconnected global community.

5. Support Holistic Development: Provide a balanced education that addresses intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth and intelligence, preparing students to succeed in all areas of life.

6. Provide students with a comprehensive and innovative educational experience to excel academically and thrive in a rapidly evolving technological world.
